Your job

Cloud Continuum considers the Cloud as a sequence of technologies that span different locations and types of ownership to support the ever-changing needs of their business. As Senior Cloud Continuum Advisor providing consulting/design services, your main responsibilities are to coach, advise and lead the transformation of cloud continuum solutions. It includes edge, multi-cloud and hybrid cloud.

Coach our clients on Cloud Continuum

  • As a trusted advisor, you guide our clients on their journey to the Cloud by designing their transformation roadmap and taking ownership of managing the transformation with your team(s) as well as the client stakeholders;
  • You convey a deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google) and architecture at the intersection of our clients’ industry to guide them towards a well-defined, value-rich target while effectively managing change;
  • Using your deep industry and technology competence e.g., in cloud, data or security, you will build connections with senior and expert stakeholders in both business and technology functions to facilitate quick and effective decision-making.

Advise our clients on Cloud Continuum

  • On multi-/hybrid cloud strategies, and shape their end-to-end transformation;
  • To prepare the IT organisation and the business for their journey to the Cloud, you manage projects to shape their strategy and develop the value cases to support the strategic narrative;
  • To find new strategic opportunities and/or prepare the organisation for their cloud migration, you conduct holistic due diligence of the full application, infrastructure perimeter and service operating model;
  • Identify and articulate the business value of role and solutions for customer’s organisation through demonstrations and storytelling to show evidence of business value in the customer environment;
  • Conduct high-level cloud security assessment including proactive policy evaluation and tuning;
  • Bonus if you can provide consulting services on Machine Learning, AI and blockchain in the context of a public/hybrid cloud.

Lead Cloud Continuum transformation

  • Head projects to make sure clients are positioned for long-term success with practical roadmaps for carrying out Digital, IT/cloud strategy, managing change, monitoring and gauging processes, and taking remedial steps;
  • Design, and own the overall solution for all cloud transformation components. It might cover Public Cloud Providers (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP), or European Sovereign Cloud (e.g. OVHcloud), or on-premises solutions;
  • Lead projects that deliver world-class business technology strategy solutions;
  • Build strong links and work collaboratively with Accenture groups to ascertain holistic solutions, transition, and service delivery.

Bonus if you can support Accenture’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) ambitions by:

  • Implementing and applying Accenture sustainability by design approach of embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) capabilities across the project lifecycle;
  • Leading and preparing studies on the adoption of cloud technologies and their impact on the climate;
  • Working with the sustainability service group of Accenture to provide the customer with the best practices and tools to optimise their journey to the Cloud and reduce their carbon footprint.

Your background

  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in the ICT industry serving multisector clients
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as Technology Advisor in the domain of IT Service Management and IT Operating model design, setup and execution
  • Experience in the implications of Cloud economics on IT financial management. Ability to facilitate design thinking and customer journey workshops to support the development of a transformation roadmap/strategy
  • Strong interest in innovative technologies and desire/willingness to work on pioneering engagements
  • Understanding and experience of challenges associated with managing, and delivering cloud programmes across the project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of operational, support and security challenges associated with taking a client on a journey to the Cloud using an “As a Service” model
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud industry trends, including public, private, hybrid Cloud platforms, and technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Serverless, Kubernetes, Low-code/No-Code, CI/CD toolchains, and related practices with Agile, and DevOps
  • An excellent level of English (C1-C2 level as per the Common European Framework of Reference CEFR) with outstanding written and verbal communication skills is a must; an advanced level of Dutch and/or French is an asset
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Required certifications

At least two relevant “expert” cloud certifications (e.g., AWS professional certified, and Azure Solution Architect Expert certified)

Bonus for:

  • Enterprise architecture (TOGAF, Open CA or others)
  • SAFe (Scale Agile Framework)
  • PM2, Prince2 or PMI PMP
